Legal Aid public funding is available for asylum, detention, bail, and limited human rights matters. Private clients are charged a fixed fee based on the complexity of the case. Where the matter qualifies for public funding and you satisfy the eligibility criteria for legal aid, you will not be charged any fees. A discounted fixed fee may be offered to private paying clients who are receiving minimal state benefits, only in limited circumstances and only at the firm’s discretion. Fees range from £900 in straight forward cases to £1500 in complex cases for Home Office /UKVI applications and start from £1500 in appeal cases. We may offer a discretionary, discounted consultation fee where a private client is receiving minimal state benefits. The firm retains its discretion to determine whether or not to offer a discounted fee. If we are instructed, payment of fees are due in advance and work will only be undertaken when the fixed fee is paid.
